TRUCK1.EU: Overview

About the project

Truck1 is an international online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of commercial vehicles and heavy equipment.

It serves 2 main user groups:

Buyers: Use the platform to search for vehicles and submit purchase requests.

Dealers: Publish ads, receive requests, sell vehicles, and and complete transactions directly with interested buyers.

Truck1 supports 32 different languages, making it accessible to a global audience.

My Role

As a Product Designer at Truck1, my primary goal was to improve the user experience, making the platform more efficient for both buyers and dealers. My work focused on improving site functionality, increasing user satisfaction, and supporting business growth through design-driven solutions.

Design Process

I implemented a structured Design Process at Truck1 to enhance workflow efficiency and ensure consistency across teams. This process consists of several key stages:

— Conducted in-depth research on best UX practices and explored competitor platforms to benchmark features and identify areas for improvement

— Facilitated brainstorming sessions with the team to generate innovative solutions

— Prioritized tasks and selected the most effective design approaches based on user needs and business goals

Design:

— Developed layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile, ensuring consistency and usability across different devices

— Conducted thorough checks on the layout to ensure all design elements were implemented correctly before moving into development

Development:

— Collaborated with developers for seamless handoff and ensured proper implementation of the design

— Worked with copywriters and wrote tasks in JIRA to streamline translation

— Wrote A/B tests to validate design changes and test user engagement

— Regular design reviews were conducted to ensure compliance with design standards and that all user issues were addressed. This ensured quality control throughout the process.

UX researches

To ensure that the proposed solutions were user-friendly and addressed key pain points, I conducted User Interviews and Usability testing. The interviews helped uncover specific problem areas on the website, while the usability testing assessed how users interacted with the platform and validated the intuitiveness of the flows I designed.

I also compiled Competitive analysis tables to compare our platform's features with those of our competitors.

Design System

I developed a comprehensive Design System with over 70 components. This system was crucial for ensuring consistency across the platform and optimizing the design-to-development process.

Redesigned Website

I led the redesign of 80% of the website and 40% of the control panel. The redesign focused on creating a cohesive, responsive design across web, tablet, and mobile platforms.

A/B Testing and Results

I designed, monitored, and analyzed several rounds of A/B testing to validate the success of the design changes. Based on the data collected, I created detailed reports highlighting the impact on user engagement and conversion rates.
